Persons displaced by the tragedy needing a hot meal, counseling, or any other type of assistance can either visit one of their bus locations, or call their toll free number at (800) 736-2773 .

Volunteer work + relief needs
To do volunteer work you need to go to and register at the Jacob Javits Center (34th st/11th ave) picture ID and security clearance will be required before you're put on a *calling* list.
They are presently looking actively for professional welders, iron workers volunteers.
NYRelief: community service and volunteerism site. IT Related help needed NOW!
The Red Cross is in need of some tech help with their field operatives in NYC. They're looking for certified Citrix engineers and Microsoft-certified consultants, as well as a long list of computers, network parts, etc.
